We arrived in Atlanta on time and on schedule. We had a before departure dinner at TGI Fridays and proceeded to our gate. The plane was oversold and they were pleading for 4 people to give up their seats for a $1300 travel voucher for each, hotel accommodations and flight out to London the next day. We passed on this opportunity..London and our adventure awaits us.
On the flight over the flight attendant brought around our dinner. When I declined an entree, she said it was apparent that I had traveled with them before. After arriving at Heathrow, we took the tube into London, about a 1 hour trip. At every stop the announcement was made "mind the gap". A phrase I am sure that anyone who has traveled to London is familiar with. We checked in the hotel, rode the "hop on, hop off" for a couple of hours, ate dinner and were in bed by 7:30 pm, after being up around 30 hours.
Later on, in the hotel, I called Jerry and Mary Ann's room and when Mary Ann answered, I told her about the next days plans and breakfast details. When I finished, the lady that answered the phone said I had the wrong number. I told Linda that I thought May Ann had answered with a British accent.
